Ferdinando Fuga

Ferdinando Fuga (* 1699 in Florence, † 1782 in Rome) was a Florentine architect, whose works are in Naples and Sicily, but especially in Rome.

Biography

Fuga worked as a child at the renowned Italian architect and sculptor Giovanni Battista Foggini and had so early contact with baroque design ideas. In 1717 he went to Rome to further his studies in relation to the architecture. 1729 Fuga focused on work orders in Palermo and was made a year later under papal service. After King Charles III. called him to Naples in 1751, he was involved there in collaboration with Luigi Vanvitelli in the elaboration of numerous jobs.
