Fereydoon Batmanghelidj

Fereydoon Batmanghelidj (pronounced gee- Batman lidsch; * 1931 in Iran, † 2004 in the U.S.) was an Iranian physician and alternative medicine.

Life

His medical training Batmanghelidj graduated at St. Mary's Hospital, London University. He returned to Iran in order to work there as a doctor. In 1979, he was arrested as a member of a prominent family of the Iranian revolutionary government. As a political prisoner doctor, he discovered in jail by his own admission, the " healing power of water". In 31 months of captivity, he treated over 3,000 people with water only. In order to bring his research to the end, he remained despite dismissal offered another four months in prison.

He came to the view that water can prevent, relieve and cure many degenerative diseases. 1983, a report on his views was smuggled from Iran and published in June of the year in the scientific journal "Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology ".

1982 Batmanghelidj escaped from Iran to the U.S., where he continued his research on the role of water in the human body. His bottom line: lack of water ( dehydration ) has detrimental effects on our health and is the cause of many diseases. His main concern, the " healing with water," he lectured widely and appeared on radio and television. He wrote several books (eg, " You are not sick, you are thirsty - healing from the inside with water and salt " ) in which he explained physiological relationships.

He played a major role in the founding of the " Foundation for the Simple in Medicine " (literally: the Foundation for the Simple in Medicine ). Because of its verallgemeinenden Theses on healing with water ( for example, in diabetes mellitus, cancer, stroke, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS ), depression, coronary heart disease, osteoporosis, gout, kidney stones, obesity, high blood pressure, heart rhythm disturbances, etc.) Batmanghelidj was strong controversial.

Critical supplement

The fact that the adult human needs about 2 to 3 liters of water a day, was known before Batmanghelidj. Any documents or evidence for his allegations that he ( Almost All) healing effect of water he has not provided. His account of his experiences in prison are anecdotal Art

Batmanghelidj was dismissed by its own account in 1982 from prison in 1983 and fled to the United States. He has published any results of his researches, except for one article in a professional journal for gastrointestinal medicine (1983) and author's abstract of a lecture in a cancer research journal (1987 ), a third publication was by his own admission on his website ( the is offline now ) rejected by the Lancet and to have appeared in an Iranian journal, which is not verifiable. His foundation is no longer active. He let himself indeed register in the U.S. as a natural healer, but was, until his death in 2004 demonstrated either in itself or medically active.
