Fereydoun Farrokhzad

Fereydoun Farrokhzad (Persian فریدون فرخزاد; * 1938 in Tafresch, Iran, † August 6, 1992 in Bonn) was an Iranian political scientist and poet, singer and actor.

Life

Farokhzad completed his academic education study program in Political Science from a PhD in the Federal Republic of Germany. He is the younger brother of the famous Persian poet Forough Farrokhzad.

Farokhzad is still regarded as one of the most famous singers and entertainers of modern Iranian music history. Many stars of the Iranian music scene of the 1970s came into his program on a higher level of awareness. Many of his songs draw from a very special vitality and joy, and they usually lack the conspicuous in many of his contemporary artists melancholy.
