Fermo Camellini

Fermo Camellini ( born December 7, 1914 in Scandiano; † August 27, 2010 in Beaulieu- sur -Mer ) was an Italian- French cyclist.

Fermo Camellini was a professional cyclist from 1937 to 1951. In 1942 he was tenth of the Vuelta a España. At the Giro d' Italia 1946, he wore four days the Maglia Rosa. In 1946, he won Paris-Nice and the 1948 Flèche Wallonne. He also started three times in the Tour de France; In 1947 he finished seventh overall and won two stages and the mountains classification at the Col du Galibier, 1948, he came in eighth place overall. In 1947 he won the first stage of the first edition of the Critériums du Dauphiné and finished the 1948 season ranked second in the scoring Challenge Desgrange - Colombo.

Camellini was born in Italy, but in 1948 took a French citizen. In 2010 he died at the age of 95 years and the oldest still living winner of Paris - Nice in France Beaulieu -sur -Mer, where he had operated a bicycle shop.
