Fernando Lorenzo

Fernando Lorenzo Estefan ( born January 31, 1960 in Montevideo) is a Uruguayan politician and economist.

Training

Lorenzo joined initially in 1984 to study at the Faculty of Economics of the Universidad de la República successfully. Finally, he deepened his studies for a year in Paris, where he received a Diploma d' Etudes Approfondies. From 1991 to 1997 he completed his PhD then at the University Carlos III in Madrid.

Political career

Lorenzo led since March 1, 2010 as the successor Álvaro García's the Uruguayan Ministry of Economy and Finance. He resigned on December 21, 2013 from his office.
