Gradients, built into the mountain bends and spiral loops lead higher and higher, until finally at Los Ojitos, between the stations Divisadero and Creel at 2,420 m the highest point of the 653 km long stretch is reached and it goes downhill towards Chihuahua stages again.

Among the attractions of the route include, inter alia El Descanso, the longest with over 1800 m of tunnel route. At kilometer 622 (of Ojinaga, the eastern border point to the United States from measured ) the train reached the station Divisadero, topographic contour point of the route. From here you have a deep look into the Barranca del Cobre ( Copper Canyon ), as well as afterwards Creel.
