Ferydoon Zandi
Ferydoon Zandi (Persian: فریدون زندی [ Faeri ː ː du ː n zændi ]; born April 26, 1979 in Emden ) is a German -Iranian football player. He is an attacking midfielder and plays since September 2012 in Al -Ahli SC.
Life
Ferydoon Zandi is the son of a German mother and an Iranian father. He grew up with German and Persian on bilingual, speaking the latter, however, in his own words not perfect.
Career
Youth
Zandi played in several German youth national teams, including five times in the U21. Two appointments to the team in 2006, he refused, saying he hopes to use in the Iranian national team made himself, which would not have been possible with a stake in the team in 2006. Professional career

In the preliminary round of the 2007/ 08 Zandi was out of contract; temporarily, he made headlines when an Iranian news agency reported that he had left his last club after it had committed an Israeli coach. This message lacked any basis. In the second half he was with Olympiakos Nicosia under contract. In the 2008 /09 season Zandi played for Alki Larnaca.
For the season 2009/10 he moved to the home of his father, Iran to Azin Steel Teheran. For the 2011/12 season he moved from Azin Steel Tehran Esteghlal Tehran and won with them in March 2012 to Hazfi Cup. In summer 2012, led by the EU and the U.S. sanctions because of Iran's nuclear program into an economic crisis, which is why many foreign players could not be paid.
Therefore end of September 2012 moved to Zandi Qatari second division side Al -Ahli SC.
