FestSpielHaus

The Festspielhaus in Munich- Neuperlach is a youth culture and educational institution of the Bavarian capital with contractual ties to the Stadtjugendamt. A regular operation as a theater began in 1995.

The Festspielhaus is located in the south of Ost Park at the address Quiddestr. 17, 81735 Munich, Germany.

Brief History

  • Early 1970s: In the first supermarket Neuper salmon is established by the workers' welfare, a youth center and a day center for the elderly. In 1974 a youth counseling center as a model project of the Federal Ministry of Youth.
  • 1976 is the workers' welfare, the "Cooperative youth counseling " to the Kreisjugendring. Take cultural activities, including through the active to the present day theater group " Kaschperl Prod "
  • 1982 found the staff cultural association " Goblin eV "; after prolonged local political discussions created the " Cultural Workshop East".
  • Sponsorship from Kreisjugendring 1995 changes to the goblin eV, which renames the project in the Festspielhaus. It is acknowledged in 1999 by the Children and Youth Services Committee of the City of Munich as a youth services pursuant to § 75 KJHG.
  • 2000 founded as a support the non-profit Festspielhaus GmbH to offer cultural education programs for young adults ( contract with the City of Munich ). Program focuses on theater, festival productions, video and photography.
  • May 2005: the tenth anniversary there will be a day of the open door, are involved in the politicians and various partners. For young authors competition for comic strips and cartoons is written out.
  • 2009: The theater school Yorick, a vocational school for theater and theater education, is founded.
