Ff – Südtiroler Wochenmagazin

The ff is a weekly magazine for South Tyrol, which deals with current issues in the fields of politics and economics, society and culture as well as around the country and people. Politically, the magazine is largely leftist. Co-constituent of each edition is a separate booklet enclosure that contains the current television program all receivable in South Tyrol German -and Italian- language television for that week.

The first issue of FF was released in September 1980 and was originally conceived as a magazine for television and leisure. Very soon the magazine became an information magazine, which deliberately provoked by picking up explosive socio-political issues and thus always gave people plenty of discussion. Investigative journalism and articles on taboo topics have always been one of the hallmarks of the ff

In the early 1990s led discrepancies almost to the end for the magazine, as the entire editorial staff announced by the then Chief Hans Karl Peterlini with the exception of Florian Kronbichler and the short-lived weekly magazine founded südtirol profile, from the then 1996, the New South Tyrolean newspaper was born. Today the ff can be described as the second most important organ of the press in South Tyrol in addition to the daily newspaper " Dolomites ". According to his own statement the ff reaches around 33 % of the South Tyrolean population.

In December 2007, the Viennese lawyer Stefan Weber and the Swiss media consultant Kurt W. Zimmermann took over the majority of the publisher.
