Community structure

The municipality includes the hamlets of Old Fichtenhöhe Mahlisch, Carzig and Niederjesar.

History

The municipality was created on 26 October 2003 from the voluntary merger of the previously independent municipalities Old Mahlisch, Carzig and Niederjesar.
