Fieschertal is a municipality in the district of Goms in the German-speaking part of the canton of Valais in Switzerland.
Geography
Fieschertal is below the Fieschergletscher, at the end of the valley and could only be reached on foot to the 1960s from Fiesch. Fieschertal with 17'295 ha in terms of area one of the largest communities of Switzerland, with 15'966 ha are in the World Heritage area. The municipal area extends north to the Jungfraujoch.
In Fieschertal Jenische families are naturalized, but live outside of the community or living on travel.
