Fifth Republic Movement

Movimiento Quinta República ( MVR short, German Movement for a Fifth Republic) was a left -wing party in Venezuela. It was created in 1997 the Movimiento Revolucionario Bolivarian 200th goal was to establish a political platform to support the candidacy Hugo Chávez ' for the 1998 presidential elections, which he eventually won. According to Venezuelan law, political parties were not allowed to name it after the national hero Simón Bolívar. In October 2007, the MVR went on in the newly formed United Socialist Party of Venezuela ( PSUV ). 2011, the ruling party coalition under the leadership of Chavez ' for " Gran Polo Patriótico " was developed and continues to be the dominant political force in Venezuela.

Several prominent former MVR representatives went away during the reign of Chávez ' as well as the controversial (at first commissioner ) takeover by Nicolás Maduro in March 2013 by their former comrades, went into opposition and supported so in the presidential election campaigns in 2012 and 2013, the candidate Henrique Capriles.
