Fiji at the 2012 Summer Paralympics

The island nation of Fiji despatched with the high jumper Iliesa Delana an athlete at the Paralympic Summer Games 2012 in London. Delana participated in the competitions in the High Jump Men's F42 ( athletes with one leg without prosthesis ) on 3 September in part and won the gold medal with a height of 1.74 meters. He won against the Indian participants Girisha Hosanagara Nagarajegowda ( silver) and the Polish participants Lukasz Mamczarz (Bronze ) also the height of 1.74 meters above jumped, but needed more tests.

Iliesa Delana was thus also the first winner at the Paralympics for the island nation of Fiji.
