Filipe da Costa

Filipe Gui Paradela Maciel da Costa ( born August 30, 1984 in Lisbon ) is a Portuguese football player. He plays since 2010 with GD Estoril Praia in the Liga de Honra, the second Portuguese top.

Career

Da Costa began his career in the youth of Benfica, which he left in 2001 on loan the FC Amora. In 2002 he first came into the squad a first team when he was at SC Braga under contract, but he came to no use. The same fate came to him in Italy with AC Reggiana and U.S. Tolentino. It was not until January 2005, when he played at Ionikos Nikea in the highest Greek league, he came to missions in the first team. Nikea was ninth in the Super League. After the seats ten and twelve he left Ionikos and changed within the league on loan to AE Larisa. The club finished tenth, also one was Greek Cup winner.

For the beginning of the 2007/08 season he signed with the English giants Leeds United, where he came to four inserts in the third highest English division. In summer 2008, he moved to Romania for FC Timişoara, the dash him to the obligation out of the squad, as da Costa injured. He then went to Bulgaria and he played in the fall at CSKA Sofia. In the spring he moved to local rivals Levski Sofia. The club was champion, the midfielder came to eight inserts.

He then returned to the homeland and signed for Nacional Funchal. After just two games and a yellow card, he was sold to GD Estoril Praia. In the summer of 2010 he returned to Madeira and is now back in the squad Nacional.
