Filiz Akın

Filiz Akın ( born January 2, 1943 in Ankara) is a Turkish actress.

Akın studied at TED Ankara College archeology before she won the actor competition of the magazine " Movie Star " in 1962.

She began her acting career in 1962 with Akasyalar Açarken and appeared in over 120 films, with colleagues such as Ediz Hun, Kartal Tibet and Tarık Akan. For her role of the German agent Hilda in the film Ankara Ekspresi based on the novel by Mahmut Esat Karakurt she got the Golden Orange for Best Actress.

After a therapy Filiz Akın in 2004 defeated the nasopharyngeal cancer. She gives workshops on the topic of cancer and has after their recovery in 2005, the book Hayata Merhaba ( Hello to life ) written. With this book she wanted to, inter alia, reach sick people and encourage them. In 2006, she wrote to healthy living, the book Filiz Akın ile Güzellik, Zayıflama ve Genç Kalma üzerine. She is married to Sonmez Koksal and mother of İlker Inanoglu. Your son is from Akins first marriage with the director Türker Inanoglu. İlker Inanoglu is now also an actor, and was known as a child star as Yumurcak. In all the films the Yumurcak series and in the French thriller Le ricain ( The merciless executor ) of 1977 were mother and son Filiz Akın İlker Inanoglu together in front of the camera.
