Fin Bartels (born 7 February 1987 in Kiel ) is a German football player.

Career

Clubs

The offensive player Bartels went through the youth teams of TSV Russee and SpVg Eidertal Molfsee, before moving to Holstein Kiel for the season 2002/ 03. He advanced to the 2005/06 season in the men's area, although in the A- youth, he would still be able to play, and made his debut on 25 November 2005 in the Regionalliga Nord. In the second half Bartels established himself as a regular player and completed a further 16 appearances for Kiel. In the season 2006/ 07 Bartels scored five goals in 33 games, but Holstein Kiel rose as a table Fifteenth to the Oberliga Nord.

Bartels then moved to F. C. Hansa Rostock, where he belonged to the trained by Frank Pagelsdorf Bundesliga squad of the riser in the 2007/ 08 season, but was initially intended for use in the trained by Thomas Finck second team that played in the Oberliga West in 2007 /08. His debut in the Bundesliga were Bartels on October 6, 2007, when he came on in the closing stages of the match against VfL Wolfsburg. After he was first employed 25 November 2007 against Hamburger SV over the full season, he played in the winter break in the stem formation, after which he made his debut on 29 January 2008 in the DFB Cup and on March 1 against Arminia Bielefeld bicycle kick scored his first Bundesliga goal. However, at the end of the season he rose to Rostock in the 2nd Bundesliga from in which Rostock for the seasons 2008/ 09 and 2009/10 played against relegation to the third division. This Bartels scored a total of 10 goals in 58 second-division operations, the team finished in 2010 but the 16th place in the final table and thus had two relegation matches against FC Ingolstadt compete with the consequence that Hansa relegation to the third division.

Bartels, whose contract expired, then moved up to the 2010/11 season to the first division team FC St. Pauli. In his first Bundesliga game for St Pauli he came off the bench in a 3-1 away win over Freiburg in the 68th minute, just put a gate on its own and also achieved results. After he came off the bench in the first five days of each game after about 60 minutes he came on Matchday 6 at home to Borussia Dortmund for the first time with FC St. Pauli in the Bundesliga over 90 minutes to use. During the season he became the master force behind the team from Millerntorplatz. However, the FC St. Pauli finished the season in last place in the table, so that Bartels experienced the fourth decline in five years.

In the second division season 2011/12 Bartels was together with Max Kruse and Florian Bruns of St. Pauli achievers in the midfield, but the intended resurgence missed the club. In the years at FC St.Pauli Bartels developed into an absolute performer. In December 2013 be watchable matches against Union Berlin has been proposed for goal of the month.

On January 30, 2014 it was announced that Bartels will switch to the 2014/15 season when his contract expires at Werder Bremen. He signed a contract there until 30 June 2017.

National

On 28 May 2008 Bartels debuted in a friendly against Denmark for the German U-21 national team. He came on in the 61st minute for Barış Ozbek. It was his first and only U-21 international.
