Finland national handball team
The Finnish men's national handball team represents Finland in international tournaments in handball.
Most-capped player is Björn Monnberg (* 1971) with 135 inserts.
Participation in Championships ( handball )
Finland took far only once, in 1958, in a World Cup finals. At the World Cup tournament in the GDR played the Finnish team in the preliminary round in Erfurt and was against Poland in the first game to achieve a 14:14. In the other two group matches, however, there were defeats against Spain ( 16:19) and Sweden ( 16:27 ). Finland was Group Last, while the Swedes were later able to secure the title.
In the EHF Challenge Trophy the team in their only participation in 2009 won the title.
