Firangi (sword)

The Firangi, also Farang or Phirangi, (ind stranger ), is a sword from India.

Description

The Firangi has a straight, double-edged blade. The blade has a hollow ground lying in the middle or a midrib usually. From the magazine that the blade runs narrowing the place. For the Firangi often rapier, broadsword or saber blades were used from European production. The handle is usually made as the handles of the Khanda or Tegha in the same way.
