Fire and Ice ( Fire and Ice German ) is an American animated film (1983 ) by Ralph Bakshi and Frank Frazetta in consuming rotoscoping method ( rotoscoping engl. ): Real actors were filmed and then frame by frame oversubscribed. Many of the figures were created by Frank Frazetta. The film was a financial failure, as Frazetta's fantasy imagery with the former Tricktechnik enough expression could not be awarded.

Action

The film takes place in a prehistoric in there as well as prehistoric animals both have metal weapons.

The evil queen Juliana and her son Nekron Lord are the rulers over the ice. To subjugate the people they deal with black magic and deadly coldness towards Jarol, the king of light and fire, which has its headquarters in the fire castle.

Because of the ice age, which over the earth has let befall Lord Nekron and his cruel army of half- human, people flee into the fire castle king Jarols. But Lord Nekron fights with unfair means and leaves the daughter ( Teegra ) by King Jarol kidnap. The king sends his warrior Larn, the fighter Dark Wolf and an army to search for the princess and lead the last great battle of humanity: the battle between fire and ice.
