Fireball (dinghy)

The Fireball is an international two-man trapeze dinghy. It was developed by Peter Milne in 1962 in England and is widely used; until now (2006 ) about 15,000 Fireballs were built.

Hull, mast and sails are exactly standardized, with the rest of the equipment is great freedom. Traditionally, the Fireball in wood ( plywood shipbuilding ) was built for some years also in plastic sandwich construction. Because of the relatively simple hull shape ( Knickspantbauweise ), the Fireball is good for the self.
