First Aid Kit (band)

First Aid Kit is a Swedish duo consisting of Enskede, a suburb of Stockholm, next sisters Klara ( born January 8, 1993) and Johanna (born 31 October 1990) Söderberg.

History

First Aid Kit released their debut EP Drunken Trees on 9 April 2008 at The- Knife - label Rabid Records. A re- publication of the phonogram by Wichita Recordings in February 2009 contained an additional piece of the Tiger Mountain Peasant Song, a cover of the band Fleet Foxes, with the First Aid Kit 2008, known on YouTube.

Their debut LP The Big Black & the Blue was released on 25 January 2010. As a first single Hard Believer ( with the Waltz for Richard B-side ) was published on 5 October 2009. Their second album, they took with various musicians in the studio by Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes) in Omaha, Nebraska and received, among other things vocal support of Bright Eyes singer Conor Oberst. Their first single from the album The Lion's Roar, which gave the name to the album was inspired by Townes Van Zandt.

Awards

In February 2013 were First Aid Kit four -time winner of the Swedish music prize Grammis as Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Pop song of the year and Composer of the Year. The album The Lion's Roar in 2013 was awarded the Nordic Music Prize.
