The plane crash in Resolute Bay was a flight accident in which 20 August 2011, a Boeing 737-200 crashed on the airport at Resolute Bay in Canada during the landing approach.

Misfortune

Shortly before landing on Runway 35T collided Boeing 737-200 with a hill. The cause is currently unknown. The weather at the destination airport was slightly foggy with a visibility of about 5 km (3 miles).

At the same time found a military exercise held in the accident area. Approx. 700 people took part in mind. As part of the exercise, the processes should be trained in the event of a flight accident, the exercise participants were finally faced a real crash. Both flight recorders were recovered.

Survivor

There were 15 people, including four crew members on board. All crew members died in the accident. It survived three passengers, including a seven year old girl.
