First Canadian Centre

The First Canadian Centre is a 167 -meter Tall office building in Downtown Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is located at 350 7th Avenue SW, and features a bright modern style facade form.

History

The building was designed by Bregman Hamann Architects. It was the tallest building in Calgary, which exceeded the Scotia Centre with its 155 meters after the completion of 1982.

Earlier plans take into account that at the point a building complex with two high-rise buildings should be built. The second building would have 64 floors. Due to the falling economy in Calgary during the eighties, these plans were discarded.

Use

In addition to several smaller tenants, the largest office space, Bank of Montreal has rented, which also operates a bank branch on the ground floor.
