First Kalvītis cabinet

The Latvian Cabinet (Cabinet Kalvītis ), which is composed of 17 ministers, the Office of the Prime Minister or the Prime Minister, the Presidents of the coalescing parties and the respective ministerial secretaries of state, (April 2006) was constituted in its present form in December 2004 under Prime Minister Aigars Kalvītis (Latvian people's Party / Tautas partija ). In the cabinet to 13 April 2006, the ruling factions of the People's Party ( TP), the New Era (JL ), the First Party of Latvia ( LPP) and the Union of Greens and Farmers (OCD) were represented. Then stepped out of the New Age of the government, its ministers were replaced by members of the other parties, a non-party and a member of the party Latvian Way ( LC). On 7 November 2007, the government announced after mass demonstrations and the resignation of several ministers in her resignation on 5 December.
