FK Auda

FK Auda (full name: Futbola clubs Auda ) is a Latvian football club based in Riga.

History

The FK Auda was founded in 1969 as a football team in the fishing kolkhoz 9 maijs in Vecmīlgrāvis near Riga. In 1991, the operation changed its name to Auda, after which the club also adopted this name. At the same time it denied its first season in the top Latvian league, which was completed 15 out of 20 teams. For the following season, the club called for in accordance with the eight-time Latvian champions FK Rīga in RFK, but was unable to repeat its successful tradition. After the temporary relegation to the third division succeeded under the new name FK Auda 1997, the return to the first league. After three failed attempts, in 2002 the rise was achieved in the Virsliga in which they played until 2004. Since then Auda plays in the second division.

Stadiums

From its foundation from 1969 to 1999, the club wore their home games at Auda Stadiona out in Vecmīlgrāvis. In the years 2000 to 2005, the FK Auda had no own stadium and played their home games at LU Stadium (Riga). Since 2005 has the FK Auda the 520 -seat stadium Auda Ķekava.
