FK BanÃk RatÃÅ¡kovice

Baník Ratíškovice is a Czech football club from the South Moravian Ratíškovice. The club played from 1999 to 2002 in the 2nd Czech league. In the season 1999/ 00 Baník Ratíškovice reached the final of the Czech Cup.

Club history

Baník Ratíškovice was founded in 1930 as DSK Ratíškovice. For the first time national attention on himself made the club in 1955, when the junior Czechoslovak champion were. This generation succeeded in 1960, the rise in the second league, as a third- bottom of Group B but were relegated again immediately the team. The back in the Bundesliga in 1963, but the team rose with only two wins this season as Table from.

In the season 1998/99 Baník Ratíškovice rose to the second Czech league and immediately reached the third place.

The next game of 1999/00 was the most successful in the club's history. In addition to the third place in the second league came Ratíškovice up in the final of the Czech Cup. In the third round the team defeated the first division side FK Drnovice, in the second round Chmel Blšany. In the quarterfinals Ratíškovice won at Viktoria Plzen 2-1 in the semi-final, the second division sat 3-0 against FC Vitkovice. The final took place on 3 May 2000 in Evžena Rošického Stadium, Baník Ratíškovice defeated Slovan Liberec 1-2.

Then it went downhill rapidly for the club. After descending from the 2nd league 2001/02 Ratíškovice reported only in the Divize. But in the fourth- highest division it was not enough for the league. Since the 2003/ 04 season the team will play continuously in Přebor ( South Moravian Region ), the fifth- highest division.
