FK Novi Pazar

The FK Novi Pazar (Serbian Cyrillic - Фудбалски клуб Нови Пазар, Fudbalski klub Novi Pazar ) is a Serbian football club from the city of Novi Pazar, which plays in the Super League, the highest football league in Serbia.

History

Establishing 1928 FK Sandžak and later FK Deževa said. After a merger of Deževa with the FK Ras from 1962, the current FK Novi Pazar. He was an amateur champion in the former Yugoslavia and was a member of a lower league in the east of the country. Twice they reached play-offs for the first league and both times was defeated. The first time they lost against Sutjeska Nikšić, the second time against Sloboda Užice.

Known former players were Abdulah Gegić, in the 1965/66 season, the final of the European Champions' Cup reached as coach of Serbian top club Partizan, where he succumbed to his team barely Real Madrid, and Ismet Ugljanin, also a former member of Partizan and of Radnički Niš. Other well-known players were Bajro Župić and Rahim Besirovic, also former members of the traditional Partizan family.

Presence

Since the season 2011/12 FK Novi Pazar plays in the 2nd Division. By the 34th and final day of the preseason guided by the Serbian Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Rasim Ljajić club struggled with the easy lying ahead runner Radnički Niš for the promotion to the 1st League. After Master BASK was denied due to financial problems the rise, pushed the FK Novi Pazar in third place after the first time, rising to the highest in Serbian league.
