FK Pelister

The FK Pelister Bitola ( Macedonian: ФК Пелистер ) is a football club from Bitola, Macedonia. Currently the club plays in the Macedonian League.

History

The club was originally founded in 1924 under the name Omladina. Then only one designated to Pelister and finally SK Bitola. In 1945 they finally returned to the name Pelister and maintained this until today. First, the team played in the lower leagues of Yugoslavia. 1927, 1951, 1960, 1961, 1975 and 1982 you won the Macedonian Championship and the ancient Macedonian Cup 1991. 1974, the team was relegated for the first time in the club's history in the second highest Yugoslav league. Shortly afterwards rose again. However, they managed to rise further in 1982 with Mitko Butlevski as a manager and Ivan Čabrinović as a coach. My biggest success is to win the Macedonian Cup in 2001 what it was entitled to participate in the UEFA Cup 2001/ 02. In the competition would retire in the qualifier against FC St. Gallen.

After the Prva liga was founded, played the FK Pelister to 2003 in the highest Macedonian league, as they went through hard times due to financial problems. A few years later, the two former players Mitko Stojkovski and Toni Micevski saved the club from collapse. After they had taken over the club, they brought constant success and secured the 2005 championship in the second division. The following year she had a successful comeback in the Macedonian league and reached the semi-finals of the Cup.
