FK Zeta

The FK Zeta Golubovci ( Serbo-Croatian Фудбалски клуб Зета / Fudbalski klub Zeta) is a Montenegrin football club from Golubovci, a suburb of Podgorica. The club has been playing the independence of Montenegro in its first league, the Prva Crnogorska league.

History

In 1927, the club was founded under the name FK Danica. 1955 now FK Napredak hot end club was renamed to FK Zeta. Between the end of World War II and 1962, the FK Zeta played in regional football competitions in Podgorica. 1962 Finally, we rose to the Montenegrin League, where they played until 1966, when the club for the second Yugoslav League qualifying. In 2000, the promotion to the Yugoslav First League. Even if the club is still in the ailing Tresnjica plays football stadium, the FK Zeta has a huge sporting boom behind. Initially a semi-professional club, you could say at the end of the 2004/2005 season in third place behind Partizan and Red Star Belgrade and qualify for the UEFA Cup. After Montenegro's independence, the club became the first football champions of the country and thus qualified for the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. Since then, the club qualified except 2009/10 getting up to international competition.
