Flag of Khakassia

The flag of Khakassia is the official flag of the Republic of Khakassia. In Soviet times, there were different flags for Khakassia. After the disintegration of the USSR, the republic was re-established and has a new flag that was first introduced in 1993 changed and replaced on 24 September 2003 with a new modified version.

Features & Meaning of colors

The flag has a 1:2 ratio and consists of three equal horizontal stripes and a green side. The stripes are blue, white and red. On the green strip is to see a yellow- white symbol of Khakassian Turkvolks, which was already used in older Flags Khakassians. Prior to 2003, the colors were white, blue and red; of 1992-1993 was the symbol of black.
