Flexor digitorum superficialis muscle

The flexor digitorum superficialis (Latin for " superficial digital flexor ") is a skeletal muscle and is the middle layer of the flexors of the forearm dar. It divides into four tendons that pass through the carpal tunnel. They share again shortly before their approaches in two reins. The tendons of the flexor digitorum profundus pass through the gaps.

The muscle in humans has two muscle heads:

  • Caput humeroulnare (upper arm bone -Ellen - head)
  • Caput radial ( spoke head )

Function

The flexor digitorum superficialis flexes the elbow, the hand at the wrist and the 2nd to 5th finger to the middle member.
