Flinder Boyd

Flinder Boyd ( born February 12, 1980 in San Francisco, California ) is a former basketball player. After his birth, American Boyd took after his studies in his native British citizenship to his father. He played professionally in particular in France, Spain and in the British Basketball League and thus did not fall under legislation governing foreigners in Europe. As a Briton, he was also appointed to the British National Basketball Team and participated in the European Championship finals in Poland in 2009 in part. Due to injuries, he missed both participation in the European Championship finals in 2011 as well as at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, which forced him to end career in March 2012.

Career

Dartmouth College (1998 to 2002)
