Flitestar

Trek Airways FliteStar or FliteStar, IATA: GM from 1991 to 1994, an airline from South Africa, which was founded by Trek Airways.

History

FliteStar was founded in 1991 by the Trek Airways Trek Airways FliteStar, but was sold as FliteStar and adopted on 16 October 1991 the operation is available in four new Airbus A320 -211, which were later supplemented by two ATR 72-202. She was thus one of the first airlines that came into direct competition with South African Airways. She focused on the market of business travelers, which contributed to 25% of capacity, without neglecting the rest of the market. In South African domestic routes, the passenger load factor was up to 63%. However, South African Airways fought the FliteStar with advertising campaigns and other means. As of 1993 decreased FliteStar the number of flights and April 1994 was liquidated together with Trek Airways.
