Escape Horn and Black Mountain glaciers of the east, from Ofental

The escape horn is a 3'795 m above sea level. M. high peak in the Allalingruppe at the end of the Saas Valley. It is a popular ski tour in winter. The escape horn is a side peak of the beam horn and rises in the northeast ridge. This continues over the Black Mountains to the dam of the lake Matt Mark. In the southeast of the ridge lies the Black Mountain glacier, in the northwest of Allalingletscher.

Increase

The normal route leads from the Britannia hut over the Allalingletscher direction Eagle Pass, at the height of Allalinhorn can be reached southward to the summit.
