Flybe Nordic is a Finnish airline based in Ilmajoki and based on the Helsinki-Vantaa airport.

History

Flybe Nordic was founded on July 1, 2011 as a joint venture between Finnair and Flybe on the basis of Finncomm Airlines. The purchase price of Finncomm Airlines was 25 million euros, 12 million euros paid Flybe and Finnair 13 million euros. Flybe holds in society today 60 % of the shares, Finnair 40%. 24 August 2011 Flybe Nordic has unveiled the first 24 goals, among them there are also those that have been served by the former Finncomm Airlines, some routes are flown but also for Finnair. Flybe was considering to take over the air traffic from 1 August 2011 and Finncomm Airlines dissolve. This date has, however, postponed to 30 June 2011, the operation of the Finncomm Airlines finally took to the Flybe Nordic.

In the fall of 2012 Flybe Nordic took over the entire fleet of Embraer 190 Finnair.

Destinations

The objectives of Flybe Nordic lie in Finland, Estonia, Åland, Germany, Latvia, Norway, Sweden, Poland and Switzerland.
