Folyás

Folyás is a municipality in the small area Polgár, located in Hajdú-Bihar county in eastern Hungary. The population is just under 350 (as of 2011 ), the area of ​​53.92 km ².

Geography

It lies at the Nyugati Channel (Western main channel). It is 6.5 km from the city Polgár and about 60 kilometers from the county seat Debrecen. Folyás adjacent to the Borsod- Abaúj -Zemplén and the following communities:

Infrastructure

Through the municipal area for the M3 motorway ( E79 ). Folyás lies on the railway line Ohat - Pusztakócs - Nyíregyháza, the passenger traffic for this section is set, however.

There is a post office, library, kindergarten, two grocery stores and two inns on site. In the center of the village is the Roman Catholic Church Szent László Király templom.

The surrounding area is heavily influenced by various waters, such as the lake argentino - lapasi - Halastó, the channel Nyugati Főcsatorna and Selypes ér ( Selypes Bach). Due to the rich fish stocks in the waters began in the 1950s with the fish, forms the livelihood opportunities for the families living there.
