Fontographer

Fontographer is an outline font editor. It is similar to Fontlab and FontForge and makes it possible to make custom fonts in PostScript, TrueType, and various other formats, since the current version 5 also OpenType, and edit.

The program was originally in 1985 by Altsys (later merged with Macromedia ) developed, but no longer developed by Macromedia in 1997. Nevertheless, it continued to be used even by relatively many font designers.

In May 2005, was acquired by Fontographer Fontlab. In November appeared with Fontographer 4.7, the first Mac OS X -compatible version. The Windows version has not been updated and remained at version 4.1.5. In June 2010 was released for Mac OS X and Windows, Version 5 with significant enhancements to its predecessor.
