Football at the 1983 South Pacific Games

In the VII South Pacific Games 1983 in Western Samoa, a competition was held in football. At eleven teams participated in this tournament. The Games were held in September 1983 in Apia. It was played in three groups of four or three teams. The Northern Mariana Islands were excluded before the start of the tournament. It was planned that two group winners directly reach the semi-finals and the third group winners ( Wallis and Futuna ) should play two quarter-final games with the three runners-up. Finally, the semi-finalists were determined, however, different.

Tahiti won for the fourth time in the tournament's South Pacific.
