Football at the 1987 South Pacific Games

In the VIII South Pacific Games in 1987, which took place for the second time in New Caledonia, a competition was held in football. At six teams participated in this tournament. All matches were played in Noumea from 9 to 19 December 1987. It was played in a single League Round FFA. The first and second place played for the title, the third and fourth to bronze.

New Caledonia won after 1963, 1969 and 1971 his fourth gold medal at the South Pacific Games.
