Footsteps in the Dark: Greatest Hits Vol. 2

Footsteps in the Dark: Greatest Hits Vol 2 is the second compilation album of the singer -songwriter Cat Stevens (now Yusuf ).

History

The second compilation album by Cat Stevens appeared in December 1984 and led the misleading name suffix " Greatest Hits Vol 2 ", though apart from The Hurt and (I Never Wanted ) To Be a Star on the compilation album only B-sides of singles and albums pieces are, furthermore it contains Father and Son is already published on Greatest Hits. The album also includes the first album's release the B- side of the single hits Morning Has Broken, the piece I Want to Live in a Wigwam.

Furthermore, the two were previously unreleased track If You Want to Sing Out, Sing Out and Do not Be Shy from the movie Harold and Maude contain ( in Germany the two titles published in 1981 on the compilation album Morning has Broken ); the commercial success failed to materialize. The album was neither in the UK nor in Germany place on the charts and reached the U.S. space 165

In September 1984, Yusuf Islam wrote an introduction to the album, in which he explains his conversion to Islam.

The title of the album Footsteps in the Dark was derived and modified for the compilation album Footsteps in the Light used from the year 2006 by the lyrics of the song daytime.
