History

The Ford Bank was established on 22 February 1926 as Ford Credit Company in Berlin. 1932, the company headquarters moved to the headquarters of the automotive brand to Cologne. After a wartime interruption financing operations were resumed three months after the currency reform in 1948. 1962 opened the first store in Freiburg im Breisgau, follow some more. 1965, the name was changed to Ford Credit AG.
