Otosan (long version: Otomobil Sanayii; German: Automotive industry ) is an automobile manufacturer from Turkey, headquartered in Istanbul. The company was founded in 1959 by the Ford since 1928, acting as importer entrepreneurs Vehbi Koç. The company made a joint venture agreement with Ford Motor Company to produce their vehicles under the name Ford Otosan to this day. Later followed a partnership with the British Reliant engine, which was also responsible for the development of the brand Anadol. Fitted with Ford engines Anadol were built from 1966 to 1985. The shape of the plastic body of the first mass-produced Turkish car brand was designed by the British design studio Ogle.

Otosans production plant in Gölcük ( Kocaeli ) received in the years 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005, Ford won "Best Plant In The World". Ford Otosan also served with the supply of spare parts 27 countries worldwide.
