As Foreign Instrumentation Signals Intelligence ( FISINT ) is referred to in the intelligence services and the military, the apprehension and evaluation of other metrics that are incurred in the development and testing of platforms and weapon systems. The intercepted signals in the electromagnetic spectrum are from the telemetry, of positioning, tracking, control devices and video data links.

FISINT is next to the Communications Intelligence ( COMINT ) and electronic intelligence ( ELINT), a subcategory of people recording signal intelligence ( SIGINT).
