Forrester Harvey

Forrester Harvey (* June 27, 1884 in Cork, † December 14, 1945 in Laguna Beach, California ) was an Irish actor, who worked in the UK and the USA.

Life

From 1922 until his death in Forrester Harvey appeared in about 115 films, some of which are today considered classics. He received a credit for about two-thirds of his roles. The burly actor with the mustache mostly embodied comic supporting roles, often he was employed here as a host. In the first two Tarzan movies with Johnny Weissmuller Harvey was seen in the supporting role of Beamish. With Claude Rains he stepped on The Invisible Man and The Wolf Man in the horror movies. For Alfred Hitchcock, he played in the British silent film The World Champion, and later in Hitchcock 's first Hollywood film Rebecca. Mistakenly identified numerous sources Forrester Harvey for some time with the role of the girl's father in Maria Frankenstein.
