Fortuna Hjørring

Fortuna Hjørring is a women's football club from the Danish town of Hjørring, Region Nordjylland. The club was founded in 1966 and has 350 members. Hjørring is currently with seven titles ever Cup Winners' Cup in Denmark.

History

Initially Fortuna Hjørring was a kind of appendage of the association Hjørring. The men's women's soccer team formed a knitting club. For fun, the members towards the ball came in 1970 the decision was made to operate the football seriously.

1994 the first time brought the Danish Championship. A year later they picked next to the championship even the Cup victory, the indoor championship and the Nordic Championship. The greatest success of the club's history was in the finals of the UEFA Women's Cup Final 2003.
