Fortunatus M. Lukanima
Fortunatus M. Lukanima ( born December 8, 1940 in iRondo, Tanzania, † March 12, 2014 in Mwanza, Tanzania) was Bishop of Arusha.
Life
Fortunatus M. Lukanima received on 8 December 1968, the ordination.
Pope John Paul II appointed him on 6 March 1989 as Bishop of Arusha. He received his episcopal consecration of the Archbishop of Dar es Salaam, Laurean Cardinal Rugambwa, on 13 August of the same year; Maurice Michael Cardinal Otunga were co-consecrators, Archbishop of Nairobi, and Dennis Vincent Durning CSSp, Bishop Emeritus of Arusha.
On 20 July 1998 John Paul II took his premature resignation for health reasons.
