Fortunatus of Todi
Fortunatus of Todi ( † 537 in Todi, Italy) was a bishop of Todi in Umbria.
Fortunatus should have kept the city before the conquest and looting by the Goths under Totila ( cf. Gothic war ). His miracles were recorded by Gregory the Great. His bones are said to have been brought to France. A church of San Fortunato in Todi is a masterpiece of Italian Gothic.
As sainted deacon, he was next to the holy Hermagoras in the early Christian church of Aquileia.
A relic is kept in the baroque church of Baar- Ebenshausen in Upper Bavaria.
