Francesco Spinacino
Francesco Spinacino (* 2nd half of the 15th century in Fossombrone; † after 1507 probably in Venice ) was an Italian lutenist and composer.
Spinacinos works were published in the two volume books Intabulatura de Ottaviano dei Petrucci Lauto of - the first printed books on the sounds at all. They contain 27 Ricercari, 2 Bassedanze and 52 According to edits. In an arrangement for two lutes by John Ghiselins Joli Amours is the first time the term " Recercare " is used. Both books contain a brief introduction to tablature notation.
Spinacinos Ricercari are kept for those times quite complex and in free form; often virtuosic and imitative passages alternate.
