Francis Caracciolo

Life

Francesco Caracciolo came from a Neapolitan noble family. He recovered miraculously from a severe skin disease and then gave away all his possessions. He studied Catholic theology in 1587, and received the sacrament of Holy Orders. It joined a community of priests who sought the spiritual care of galley slaves and sentenced to death people.
