Francis Davis Millet
Francis Davis Millet ( born November 3, 1846 † April 15, 1912 in the sinking of the Titanic ) was an American painter and author.
Life
Millet studied Modern Languages and Literature at Harvard University and painting in Antwerp. In 1910 he was co-founder of the American Federation of Arts and the National Commission of Fine Arts. Later, he became director of the American Academy in Rome. Millet came on his return from Rome in the United States on 15 April 1912 as a passenger in the sinking of the RMS Titanic lost their lives.
